In Volume 2 we're seeing red in a fever dream of crimson that spills forth from soup cans, spray cans and sauce bottles. The wolf transforms in and out of existence, torn between alternate universes vaguely tied together with nostalgia and pop culture.
The 'Wolf on the Run' series explores the lure of greed, the feeling of being poisoned by what's meant to heal us and the urgency of attacks from all sides. The wolf becomes a symbol for each of us, torn between emotions of hurt, anger and naive but hopeful curiosity. It echoes the lonely howl of a pack animal left to hunt, and run, on its own.
